Haiku Poem

Kia Ora everyone, I'm here to share what I have learnt or what we have been doing on our class called Visual Art. We have two teacher teaching us, and we have a task/assignment to do because we didn't have enough time to do it. So we have to do it in our own time, I'm really excited to share a poem that we did while ago. First we discuss what is Haiku like it has 3 lines and in the first line it need to have 5 syllable and the second one need to have 7 syllable and the last one also need to have 5 syllable. I think everyone know about that, I our teacher pick this because it was easy to do.

Second thing we did is we look up some example about nature after looking up some of the cool example, we did our own thing and try it, also our topic that we will be doing is about summer and in the bottom of the paper there's a word bank that include some words like summer,beach,water,wind,breeze,swim and etc. We don't have to use them but if we want we can it's our choice.

It take me a lot of time to think about it and I have an idea like what if I started "Summer is leaving" because I know half of my class will say "Summer is coming" so I just did the opposite of "coming".

So here is the first poem that I did:

Summer Haiku Poem 

Summer is leaving-  5 syllables 

No more sunshine and warm breeze-  7 syllables 

That will hit your skin- 5 syllables

Haiku Poem

Hi everyone, I'm here again to share a poem that we did while ago in Visual Art. Well if you have read the first blog that I did about Haiku poem this will be the same but the difference is that this one is our own haiku poem. At first I got kinda nervous because I'm not good at writing poem like this but I just ignore it and listen to the teacher and some ideas. So just like the last one our teacher gave us another paper but you can only get that when you finish your first one, so I was lucky because I have already finish one and ready to start a new one.

The paper that we had on our hand has four boxes and the three boxes has the same topic like "List some adjectives that describe your topic or object" I think I kinda know why they are all the same it's because the Haiku poem has 3 lines maybe we're going to put some adjectives that we can use on our lines. Well I put a different word at each box like for the first box I put Colourful sky, Warmth/Cold breeze, and etc. Oh I forgot that we have to pick our own topic like anything we want, at first I really don't have any idea so I just put Spring day but my friend was also doing it so think of different one, so I just look around maybe it will give me ideas but when I look at the TV something caught my eyes and that was when I saw a beautiful Aurora so I thought why not do that as my topic.Also the forth box it just ask you to list some verbs to do with my topic or object, and I just write "Watching them with my sister/family" or taking picture.

It was really challenging for me to write a haiku poem about Aurora, sometimes I will agree to myself then I will change it. I was really panicking because we only have 5 minutes left until the 4th period start but then when Mrs Allan said that we have to do this as assignment I was kinda happy but disappointed at the same time because I didn't finish it at the right time.

So when I got home I research Aurora so I get some ideas and I learn something that Aurora refereed to as polar lights, northern light, southern lights.So I thought why not use the word Northern light for my first line and just add some word so that I can have 5 syllable. Then the second one I use the word colours and sky and for the last one use the word cold breeze and night.

I had fun doing this kind of stuff even though I'm not that good at it, and also here is the one poem that I make while ago.

Title:Aurora
 Northern light bright sight
Colour dancing in the sky
At the cold breeze night

Writing Challenge!

It was really beautiful the blue sky, peaceful ocean and I see a green mountains. The sky is very clear there's no sign of any birds. Clam water that shin like a start, and has a lot of white boats that make's it more cool to look at.  Jeya enjoying ever thing I see the boats, the waves ,Jeya feel the cold breeze and enjoying the beautiful sun while swaying the grass.

Jeya was enjoying her vacation after her long work that she have to do. She decided to rest under those green trees, she enjoy everything and that time she didn't realise that she felt asleep without any blanket or any pillows. Jeya felt that someone is watching her that didn't help her to sleep, and she was also interrupt because of the cold breeze that give her goosebumps and shivers so hard, and a loud splash of the waves. But she still don't mind and continue her calm relaxed sleep. 

While Jeya was sleeping in the middle of the night, she heard a really scary growl. Jeya was really frightened because she was not used to this things, because she was only used to sleep without anything that interrupt her. She slightly open her eyes, while hiding her face in her hands. She was trembling because of the sound that she heard, she was really confused and don't have any ideas where did it came from so Jeya has her suspicions about the sound. 

As Jeya was hearing those sounds she try to become brave and take off her hands and open her eyes. Jeya look around and didn't see something, so she bravely stand up and there she saw a friendly lion who is hiding in the bush. She come closer to the lion pet it, and the lion didn't move an inch. Jeya and lion became a close friends, and the lion is always with Jeya where ever she goes.

What Subject Would You Like to Learn That Is Not Offered At School?

Hi everyone, today we have to share what we like to learn in the school that isn't offered. Because when you attend a high school there's some boring subject but some of them is quit good to learn. But if you have a chance to pick whatever subject you want to learn and why you want it?

For me I want to learn about 'Arts and Humanities' because Humanities include a lot of topic like ancient and modern languages, literature, philosophy, history, human geography, law politics, religion and of course art. That's why I really hope that I can learn more about it because it not just based on arts but it was based on a lot of things. I pick this subject because I can learn more about langues that modern people speak such as English, Latin, Japanese and the German langues.  It is also because I love painting even though I'm really bad at it. 

So when I went to collage if they have this subject I would really go and learn it.

Kindness Banner

Hi everyone, in week 4 the cool to be kind group was planning to make a kindness banner so we can put it around the Kahui's classes. First we need to be in a group of 4 and in that group it need to have different classes like 2 from Al and 2 from Bh. I was with Rieya, Chloe from Bh, and Danielle from Tz. The purpose of making this banner is just to remind the people in the school that is kindness is a good thing. We have to plan what are we going to write so we can put it on the big paper. Me and my group pick the message called "One Kind Word Can Change Someone Entire Day". We also plan what are design and we all end up putting flower border in the edge, we also plan to use water colour for the letters. It kinda took us 2 days to paint it because there's a a lot of flowers and also some letters, but we try our best to finish it as fast as possible. What I found difficult is when some of our members are gone because they have to go to others activities like the "Gym Sports" and Singing. I was really proud of my group because we finish at the right time, and that's because we help each other a lot.

Where would I go for my Holiday!?

Hi everyone, today we have to tell you if we have a chance to go anywhere in the world for our holiday where would it be and WHY?. I was really thinking about going in South Korea because when I was a kid it was actually my dream my place and I want to go there with my friends or my family. I just want to go there because I want to see BTS(Korean boy band). First I was really planning on going to "Greece" to see my grandma that I haven't see when I was kid.

The reason why I want go there because I want to try their food like the Soju, kimchi ramen, etc. I also want to try to wear their traditional clothes and go to Seoul, Busan, Jeju, and Nami Island and the han river. Also experience some new things like learn more about their culture, and how to speak their language, visit their temples. Because South Korea place are very beautiful and very gorgeous also the people are very nice like when you ask them they will help you. I really hope that I can go to South Korea to see my idol and try a lot of things.
