Lock down Word Art

Hello everyone, today in our Wananga class Mrs Allan told us to create a word art like what we have been doing during lock down. So she want us to do it because it's for us to look back when everything is  finished  and for us to remember the memories we've made. First we have to put at least 10 words or more if we want too. So I put 15 words that explain what I have been doing during this lock down with my family, and I was really happy that Mrs Allan told us to do this because I'm the type of person who always forgot everything and I hated it!

I'm happy that it took me 20 or 25 minutes to finish everything, and when I finish writing them I tried to edit it. I was really confused what shape I'm going to do because there's a lot of beautiful options. And I can't make my decision, but I finally agreed to my self  to use the shape of butterfly, because butterfly is a cool pretty insect who lived in this world.  Then I changed the style like the background to black so the people will be able to see it properly ( my words are really colourful ).

So here is that will take you to the website and I really hope you like it!

Research topics

Hello everyone, so today I will be sharing you the work that I've been working on for almost 2 days now and I just finished it today, and I'm really happy that I have some time to share it to you guys. Well I think some of you saw some of my blog and this one is really different because it's about researching like about the disasters that happened in this past few years, and also about countries. Where I get all of those ideas? Well Mrs Allan give me a red books that has some ideas about what I'm going to search, there's a lot of topics but Disaster and Countries really catch my eyes. I had my reason it was because I seriously want to now more about the world an also what happened to some countries..

So I decided to do it on a google slide because it will be more easier to do, and I don't want to have a hard time well it was because I just want to have fun doing this. At first I pick some questions for my countries and I picked 7 of them even though it ask me to pick 4, then for my disasters one I picked three things for me to research like sea disasters, etc. So when I finish researching about the disasters I had some hard time choosing the right answer but I still learn something which I'm really happy about. So when I finished writing them all, I started doing the 7 questions for the country. After 2 hours I have done it and I'm really happy how it came out. I was happy that I learn a lot even though I just research them, reading article really help me a lot.

So here is the slide show that I've created and I hope you enjoy reading them!

Hello and Goodbye Poem

Kia Ora everyone, today I will be sharing you my work that I've done in our Wananga class. This task is really exciting to do and I seriously have fun doing it. It's called Hello and Goodbye poem it's basically about us writing a poem when we were at lock down, like example your saying hello to something new after the quarantine and say goodbye to the things you have done when your at lock down.

First Mrs Allan show as some example how to do it and we also have to make 4-5 of them, and when I was doing this we have to sit with someone who we usually don't seat with so I have to be separated with my friends but I didn't mind it because for me doing this is good. It was because I have a goal for this term and that is to meet new people and like cooperate with them nicely.
So it took me a lot of time to think of different topics and write them it in a poem, so I did 6 of them because today I was happy and my brain is working well and I'm loving it! So my first one is about hearing the real voice of the teacher instead of hearing them on screen, the second one was about me who sleep late when it's on quarantine and the new me who sleep early and woke up early when the lock down is done. My third one is about the classroom and nature, and me saying goodbye to my room. Fourth one is actually about me meeting new faces and saying goodbye to the people who lived in the house, and me seeing them every single day !

The fifth one is about me not being strong and healthy and goodbye to the old me who didn't even go outside for a run. Last one is about me saying hello to to the works and some activities and me saying goodbye to the boring me who always play games...

So here is my 6 poem that I've created and I really hope you enjoyed it!

Hello to the voice of teachers teaching me new things, and the fresh cold freezy air hitting my bare skin.
Goodbye to the online classes that happened every single day of our quarantine, and the house that looks haunted from inside and even outside.

Hello to the days where I slept early and woke up early to get ready for school to meet my friends.
Goodbye to the days where I always sleep at 12 or 1 o'clock just to watch some things on youtube, always waking up late.

Hello to the beautiful looking classrooms that I go to everyday and nature.
Goodbye to my looking lonely room.

Hello to the new faces here in school, and also some new teacher faces that I’ve never seen before.
Goodbye to the boring and lonely faces of the people who lived in the house that I always see everyday.

Hello to me being really strong and fit because I get to walk around the school and walk back.
Goodbye to myself who didn't even do any exercise and walking when the sun is looking as beautiful outside.

Hello to the works and activities that I have to do everyday at school.
Goodbye to me always playing some games and me always annoying my older sister.

Pandemic in 1918

Hi everyone, welcome back again to my blog today I will be sharing you my another reading activity that I've done. The journal is about a Pandemic that happened years ago, this one is really similar to what is happening right now in the world. Which is the corona virus but the Pandemic is even worse because 50 million people died worldwide! I will show you the activity that I created by using biteable again, it was really fun using it but I just hate the fact that it takes too long to load.

The author of this Journal is Reneta Hopkins, all of it talked about what really happened and some facts. It said there are three types of viruses that affect the people: Type A,B and C, but epidemic was really caused by type A. So like when the person was infected by the virus she or he will have to suffer from the unusual caused such as nose bleeds and others, this flu can developed into a pneumonia ( a complication that caused the victims lung to fill fluid, and make it more harder from them to breath ). I really love reading this kind of journal because I learn something new and unusual to me, while I was reading this text I keep thinking that this was really similar to corona virus because from what I know it also spread quickly like this one. All the symptoms are the same like having a cough, being dizzy and nose bleeds. Both of them hit some young people but old people hard, and some died in week or longer.

That's all I have to say guys and I really hope that you would love the activity that I created.

Week 5 Reading Work

Kia Ora everyone, welcome back again for my another blog post so for today's blog I will be talking about my last activity work. This week activity is kinda harder because I have to answer some questions and then create a task, and every questions there's a related task that I have to do in different website. It was different because week 3 and 4 reading task are not like this, I just have to pick one journal story and one activity. And this time I used the that I have read for the past week, it was called Animorphs The Visitors and the authors of this book is K.A. AppleGate or Katherine Alice Applegate.

This book is about a group of friends and their names are Jake, Marco, Cassie, Tobias and her Rachel. All of them have the powers of morphing into different types of animals, all of them are heroes because they were trying to save the world by the Yeerks their enemies. Yeerks are like slugs but don't have ears, mouth, eyes etc. They are here to take control of human being, that's why all of them are trying to play safe because if the Yeerks find out where they lived they will be in trouble. And it will be the end like the Yeerks might kill them or worse. I really like this and if I could rate this 5/5 I will give it a full five because first the front of the book was really interesting the way they make it make it more mysteries, second the title of the book was really unique well first I didn’t even know why it was called Animorphs and it was my first time seeing the front like that. Third, the blurb was really creepy and cool at the same time the way the author wrote it gave me goosebumps because it included some interesting questions that made me want to read until the end non stop. Fourth when I started reading some chapters I saw that the group of friends were morphing into some kind of birds and for me I found it really cool, also the way they are helping each other just to get away from those hunters. And fifth the last chapter was really scary well let say that they almost got caught by their enemies a.k.a the Visser Three and the Yeerks but that didn’t stop them because they always look after each other also all of them are thinking about her or his friend situation and not about their self. That’s why I ranked this book 5 because of the reasons and also I love how the author includes a lot of new words that make me want to research so I can know it.

Let's go back to the activities, at the first slide it asked me to retell the main events/ ideas in my own words and then use draw.io to make a flowchart that shows the key events in chronological order. It was my first time using this but I have fun at first I don't understand how to use it, but lucky that there's some video in youtube that I can watched. For the second activity is if you ask one of the characters three question, what would it be and why?
Then I have to create a biteable video that shows I was asking the questions I have written . I like using this one but what I hate the most is it take so long to load, so I have to wait for 2 minutes and when it's done I would put it on the slide.

And for the third activity it asked me when and where the story takes place?, and when I finish doing that I have to use google maps and screencastify it to create a video showing where my story take place. For me I used Texas as my example because the has lived there so I thought why not use Texas as my example, I had fun playing with google maps and then recording it. I hate recording myself I don't know why, but I just hate it. But luckily I've finished this in no time.

For the last activity I have to choose 25 interesting words from the book, and then create a word art. I had fun editing this and choosing some shaped and exploring it. This one is seriously really easy to do and to use, that's why out of those activity this one is the best.

By the way guys here is the slide and the activities I've done.

Interpreting Graphs

Kia Ora everyone, welcome back to my blog so for today's blog I will be sharing you my last activity for our maths. Because at Monday we are no longer doing online class, but we are now allowed to go back to school. So this week maths work was kinda easy and also fun to do, because it was all about Interpreting Graphs. It include a lot of different graphs like Line graphs, Steam and Leaf, Dot Plot graphs and etc. I had fun doing the line graphs and Steam and Leaf one,and of course  answering the question.

There's a site where we can see the questions some of them only ask 3 questions, and some of them ask 7 questions. It's the same thing like what we did in making end meets, we have to put our answer into the slide. To be honest some of the questions are kinda confusing so I have to compute it, and make sure that my answer is right. It only took me an 1 hour to do this because add some equation how I get the answer, so that it will make it easier  to understand it. Let me tell you about the different questions and what the graphs talk about.

Stem and leaf: This one talked about the students measuring their pulse for 1 minute, and record recording their finding by using steam and leaf graphs. Well your pulse rate is the number of times your heart beats in one minute. The questions are about "What is the lowest pulse rate in the class?", also "What is the fastest pulse rate in the class?". Those are the questions that I have to answer.

Line Graphs : This one talked about numbers of dollars that Sam had in his savings account, from January 1997 to April 1999. The questions are about "How many dollars did Sam have in his account in December 1997?", also "Which months in 1990 did he have $ 80 in his bank account?". This one had 4 fun questions to answer.

Dot Plot Graphs: This graphs talked about the pupils who read book over a week. Well let me tell you something some of her pupils don't read books and someone read over 5 books!. And the questions asked altogether, how many pupils are there in room 6?, also what was the most common number of book read?. It only have 5 questions.

Line Graphs : It talked about a caretaker of he school who measured the temperature of the water in the swimming pool, over 14 days. The graphs include the title and number of the water temperature, and of course the questions asked about what was the temperature on Day Number 3? On which day did the pool have the highest temperature?. It also have 5 questions like the dot plot graphs.

Pie Graphs: The pie graphs shows how Donna spent her $ 10 fr Christmas presents. This one is different from the other graphs because it give you some choices, not like the other graphs. Also this one confused me a lot when I was reading it, but luckily I understand it after a minute have past. The question are like " How much did she spend on her brother Jim?" and " How much did she spend on Sarah?".

Data Tables: The charts shows the temperature readings made at the different times on that four days. Answering the questions are kinda easy but some of them are not, this table include the time, days and temperature.Questions asked " What day was it hotter at midday?" and " What day and time was the hottest temperature recorded?". It have 7 questions for me to answer.

Bar Graphs: The graph include or shows the number of hours of sunshine for the whole week, and it start at November 24 - November 30. The questions asked which day has the greatest number and how many hours of sunshine were there on Monday?. It also have 3 cool questions.

Pictographs: This pictogram shows the different fireworks sold at the Park Avenue store. There are keys like this @ it means ten dollars, and this & it equals to five dollars. Questions are " How much was spent on Volcanoes?" " Which two kinds of fireworks had the same amount spent on them?". It also have 5 questions that is kinda confusing.

I had fun doing this activity, and by the way here is my slide.
