Home Economics ( Turon )

Yesterday, in Home Economics was kind of a bit different since we are now allowed to cook our own choice and work in pairs. There are 6 pairs who will be cooking on the first week and then the others will be cooking on the following week. I and my pair thought of making one of the Filipino desserts, just to make it more different instead of cooking some cupcakes and some cookies. I got the idea from my sister, and my mum they both helped me to remember the steps and the thing we need to for them. This dish is called  Brown sugar-dusted turon wrapped in a spring roll wrapper and cooked. Other fillings, such as jackfruit (langka), sweet potato, mango, cheddar cheese, and coconut, can be combined with the banana. Turon is a popular Filipino snack and street dish. For short fried roll banana, the reason why we made this was because I and my pair run out of ideas so we thought of looking at some Filipino dish just to make things more interesting. My stakeholders were my friends, I picked them because they all don't have any dietary issues which are good. They are actually not a picky eater, which makes things easier for me.

Ingredients :

- Bananas

- Brown sugar

- Spring rolls pastry

Method:

  • Prepare the wrappers by peeling them apart, then cover the peeled wrappers with a

  • damp paper towel to keep them moist.

  • Peel the bananas and cut each into halves lengthwise.

  • Place the brown sugar into a flat dish and roll the slices of banana completely covering

  • each slice with a generous amount of brown sugar.

  • Place a banana slice along the end of the pastry closer to you.

  • Fold both sides (left and

right) of the wrapper inward towards the banana.

  • Use water to moisten the wrappers so it is easier to fold.

  • Now roll it towards the other end away from you. Use water again to seal the edge.

  • Heat oil in a frying pan over low heat. Once the oil is hot,

  • add some of the wrapped bananas and fry for 3-5 minutes on each side or

  • until the wrapper turns golden brown.

  • Drain them on a paper towel and serve while warm and the wrapper is crispy.

When we were making it, Qyn's job was to roll the bananas into the brown sugar, then I do the rest. I was happy that she cooperate with me and she helped me do the other things. While I'm busy frying it, she took care of other things such as doing the dishes and cleaning the table. The recipe was really easy, and it only takes 35 minutes to do it. Because 20 minutes on preparing things, and 15 minutes of cooking. I will probably recommend this to other people because it's not just it was really easy to make but it also tastes good. The only thing we thought was a problem was the pastry was frozen, well it won't be easy to separate them because it was frozen. So what we did was we put it into hot water, and just leave it there while we prepare the other things. Instead of waiting for it, we both got back to our jobs so that we finished them early. My partner and I don't have to panic about going out late for a lunch break.

So when we finished cooking it, I was happy that my main cooking teacher and the other helper in the room were all keen on tasting it. I was scared that they might not like it, because the taste was actually new to them. So when they all take the first bite, they said that they love the crunch and how sweet the banana is. They also said that it has the right amount of sweetness. I was so happy that they all liked it, and the reason why I was scared was that it was my first time cooking it without any help from my mum. Well, I only helped her, but I'm not the one who willfully does everything. I was happy with the compliments they gave us and even my friends also liked the texture, the appearance, and the taste.

My stakeholder comment: She said that she likes it and the fact that it was crunchy on the outside, and they love how the banana was also sweet and soft also it was cooked well. They also said that it tastes the same as how their parents cook it, and it has the right amount of sugar.

I had fun making this recipe, and seeing the others like the taste and the texture. I'm also happy that I worked well with Qyn because we both encourage each other, etc...

Apple Turnovers

The last thing we cooked in Home Economics as a group, was called Apple Turnovers. Since this week we were in a different group because we are making our own choice of food and I'm with Qyn. And the other two people were indifferent groups since we can only be in a group of two that's the max number. When we were making these Apple turnovers, I thought that it was actually easy but there some practical stuff that we did when you are making it. That is when you have to cut it into half so that everyone has two each. You only need 4 ingredients.

Since we have 4 people in our group we thought of separating each other into twos, so that we can easily measure things up. When we finished, cutting our pieces we put our pieces of green apples in the corner of the pastry. Then we sprinkled it with a teaspoon of sugar, and add a pinch of cinnamon, only if you wanted to add something to it. After putting our toppings, we fold them over into a neat triangle and press the edges with a fork to seal well. There were some problems when I fold them there are some apples going out, and I can't properly seal it. So I have to take out some apples, just to make it work. Then after that, I prick some hole in the top and sprinkle it with a little sugar. When I took my first bite, I really like the crunch of the pastry, and even though some of it were not fully cooked which is fine. To judge the taste, I didn't quite like it because of the apple. The green apple is kinda sour, and it doesn't go well with cinnamon and sugar. It was also too soft, and it keeps falling when I'm eating it. To be honest, the only thing we need to change is that we should have left it in the oven for few more minutes and probably I won't put too many apples but instead put a lot of sugar since I didn't taste the sugar but only the cinnamon. After all, it tastes ok, and my team and I worked well together.

Imploding Can

Today we did another experiment, this one is called " Imploding Can ". You just need to follow some easy steps and get some equipment you can find around your house. This experiment was really fun, and we're in a group of 5 people since there are only 4 cans, we needed to sensible of the fact that everyone needs to do it and get to experience it. I would probably do another experiment by myself, doing this.

Hypothesis: The can will collapse instantaneously, instead of exploding outside but this explodes inside.

Equipment :

- You need a tripod

- Then you also need a bunsen burner

- A heat mat

- Also a gauze mat

- Lastly the most important thing a can

-  A container and some water.

Steps :
- Get everything you need like the equipment, but make sure you also get some safety things such as safety glasses and may some gloves if only needed. Set up everything, before you start the experiment. Also before you put the can above the tripod, put a little bit of water about 10-15 ml then you can start it.

- The last step, get scissor tongs and pick up the can since it will be hot. We don't want our hands to be burnt by the pressure. Then get a container and put water, then dip it and see what will happen and watch carefully.

Results :

So when we heated the can, it will be caused to boil. So the vapor from the boiling water will push out some air out of the can. When the can was full of water vapor, you quickly cooled it by inverting it in water. Cooling the can led the water vapor to condense, resulting in a partial vacuum. Because of the incredibly low pressure of the partial vacuum within the can, the pressure of the air outside the can was able to crush it. When the pressure outside exceeds the pressure within, the can is crushed because the pressure differential is higher than the can's ability to resist. With your palm, you can smash an open aluminum can. When you compress the can, the pressure outside exceeds the pressure within. If you press the can hard enough, it will collapse. So actually when we were doing this we have a bit of a problem at first we thought that it wouldn't work since the third first try it was a fail. Then I thought of watching some videos that are related to this, I saw that there's a very important thing you needed to do to make this thing work. We'll use the tongs to pull the can off the stove, turn it upside down, and plunge the can's mouth into the bowl of water. With the tongs, get a solid grip on the can at the bottom and hold the tongs in the palm-up position. Lift the can from the stove, turn it upside down, and plunge it into the cool water in one fast move. That was the most important thing you needed to remember when you're going to do this experiment.

Conclusion: This motion is comparable to drinking via a straw. We claim we're "sucking" drink up via the straw, but we're not. Outside air pressure is pushing down on the liquid's surface. The force of the outside air pressing down on the surface of the water is higher than the force within the can, and the water is forced up into the can. Even though there's a lot of fail attempts we still tried until we succeed with this experiment.

Diffusion of Potassium Permanganate

Today we did something pretty cool, we used something new which is called potassium permanganate. This experiment is based on diffusion. Well to explain diffusion is the transfer of material from a high concentration area to a low concentration area. Diffusion occurs in liquids and gases because their particles travel randomly from one location to another. Diffusion is a crucial mechanism for living organisms because it allows chemicals to enter and exit cells.

Types of equipment:

- Tweezers

- Petri Dish

- KMnO4

- Hot water and a cold water

Questions:  Does temperature speed up or slow down diffusion? The larger the concentration difference, the faster the rate of diffusion. The higher the temperature, the more kinetic energy the particles have, causing them to travel and mix faster. The higher the rate of diffusion, the larger the surface area.

Result: The temperature of a material is proportional to the rate at which its molecules move. As a result, the molecules in hot water moved quicker than those in cold water. This allows the dye in the hot water to disperse or travel more quickly throughout the water. To be honest, when I saw the results of this experiment. The crystals spread faster in the hot water, other than the cold water which is really interesting. Hot water will equal Quicker Diffusion

Conclusion: The particles in Hot water are moving faster than it did in the cold water.

Government

In our Hurumanu, we are starting with a different topic because we have finished learning about the types of leaders in the world. This time we are learning about types of government, we have 4 tasks to do and I have learned that there are 7 types of government, such as communism, democracy, monarchy, etc. To present my learning, I have used Piktochart, it's a different website because I wanted to explore another website instead of using the same thing. In this task, we can be in a group, but I chose to work independently.  For me, a leader sees how things can be improved and motivates people to work towards that better vision. Leaders may try to make their vision a reality while prioritizing people. To be effective, leaders must be sympathetic and connect with others in addition to being able to encourage others. Probably one of the reasons why we're doing this is to look and learn more about the government. Since we will be also doing some activity that is based on being a leader and forming your own group.

Rising Water Experiment

Science Experiment for Kids – How to Make Water Rise – JM Cremp's Adventure Blog

This morning we did another experiment, just to start our day. It was called the Rising Water Experiment, well I have seen this type of experiment in social media which I'm already familiar with. So we can be in groups, but we can also work by ourselves.

Aim: To see what happens to the water revel when the candle is covered

Hypothesis: Well I already predict that the water will rise, and the fire will go off. I'm actually right because I have seen this experiment before.

Results: When the experiment is carried out, little bubbles may be seen escaping underneath the glass, indicating that the increased air pressure from the hot air as the candle burns. When the candle runs out of oxygen, it turns out, and the residual air within cools. Cooling air condenses (as seen on a balloon with liquid nitrogen! ), lowering the air pressure within the cup. There was a pressure difference between the air within the cup and the air outside the cup as a result of this. Because of the pressure differential, the high-pressure air outside the cup forced the water down into the plate, allowing the water to be forced upwards into the cup and towards the lower-pressure air within.

Conclusion: Initially, the flame heats the air within the container, and the heated air rapidly expands. Some of the increasing air escapes from underneath the vase, where you may have noticed bubbles. When the flame fades and extinguishes, the air in the container cools, and cooler air contracts, or takes up less space. The candle warms and expands the air. This momentarily offsets the oxygen loss and keeps the water level low. When the oxygen runs gone, the candle burns out and the air cools. The volume of airdrops as the volume of water increases. The short temperature shift causes the water to rise more slowly. Water condensation, as numerous readers have pointed out, should also be noted.

How does it work( summery )

The consumption of oxygen by the flame in the container is a widespread misperception that contributes to the water rising. There is a possible probability of a little rise in the water due to the flame eating up oxygen, but it is incredibly minimal in comparison to the true cause. Simply expressed, when the oxygen was depleted, the water would rise slowly and steadily. Simply expressed, when the oxygen was depleted, the water would rise slowly and steadily. You most likely watched the level increase virtually entirely at once, just after the flame was extinguished. Initially, the flame heats the air within the container, and the heated air rapidly expands. Some of the increasing air escapes from underneath the vase, where you may have noticed bubbles. consumed. When the flame fades and extinguishes, the air in the container cools, and cooler air contracts, or takes up less space. In the container, this contraction generates a weak vacuum – or reduced pressure. It is pressing down on the water in the dish from outside the container. The water stops rising when that pressure equalization is reached.

I had tons of fun doing this experiment even though I'm by myself, I did it a lot of times. The things you need are Petri Dish, Candle, Lighter, Cup, Water, Matches.

Convection and Conduction

Conduction of heat occurs when molecules increase in temperature; they vibrate, and this vibration and movement pass the heat energy to the surrounding molecules. Some examples of conduction of heat are accidentally touching a hot pot, or when a heating pad is applied to you directly and warms your muscles.

Conduction - that is the process by which heat or electricity is directly transmitted through the material of a substance. And when there is a difference of temperature or of electrical potential between adjoining regions, without movement of the material.

Health

Today in Health, we did something pretty different since our teacher is away and needs to do something really important, she sent us something to do while she was away and one of them is doing your blog and play some activities with other people.

What IP skills did I use?

The IP skills we used today were verbal communication, being inclusive and negotiation, and compromise. I and my partner used verbal communication because this type of activity needs a lot of communication with each other, well verbal communication is because working together entails expressing yourself through nonverbal cues for team plays and convincingly sharing winning ideas with my buddy while also being a good listener. Being exposed to constant responsiveness, similar to sports, causes me to develop excellent communication skills. Today we used it pretty well, then secondly we again used being inclusive because there's only the two of us and we need to win against other teams. So the only thing we have to do was to help each other and include each other to win the games, and that's the only that will help us play well and fairness with each other. Negotiation and compromise are also important, well negotiation skills are the abilities that enable two or more parties to reach an agreement. Communication, persuasion, planning, strategizing, and cooperating are common examples of soft skills. To make things easier for us, we just need to agree with each other and understand our different opinions, and don't take things too seriously. We both cheer for each other and encourage the other opponents.

Why did it helped?

Using these IP skills really did help me and my team, to do more better and it also made things really easy for me to talk with different people since I only talk to people who I really know. If we both didn't help each other, then there's a high possibility that we're gonna lose to other teams and we wouldn't be able to finish it since we only have 10 mins for each game. Verbal communication really worked well, because we both give each other the opportunity to tell their ideas and we both listen really carefully to some different strategies we both come up with. We both used the right words. For being inclusive, well we already know that there are only two people on each team so if we didn't let each other have a turn and being selfish, then it will make things harder for the other team focus since we might have an argument about taking turns. Luckily it didn't happen, because we negotiate with each other pretty well.

Who did I worked well with?

Well after each game me and Miguel and Evelyn played 3 different games, it was really a fun experience. Since we all helped each other and learn something new, it was really easy to communicate with her since we both hang out with each other in all of our classes. Evelyn helped me and encourage me to do well, so I did the same thing with her. She is so lively, and I would be honored to be her buddy again. Even though we somehow got some tough times versing other teams.

How would you do it differently?

Well, I wouldn't change anything at all but if I and my team had the chance to redo some of the games, then we both will be pleased to do it again since we somehow mucked up with some of the games but we still did well even though we had a bit of a hard time because we are all only laughing. Also, we need to communicate with other people since we kinda feel uncomfortable around the other teams that w have versed.

What level of Helisons behaviour model were you working at in this activity and provide examples of this

Well, I worked at level four, and one example is when I respect her ideas and all of her opinions since she is more like an introverted person. So I listened to her opinions and follow her strategies, and if it didn't work well we both come up with something different. Also, I think I and my buddy, demonstrate fair play with other teams, and we both showed good teamwork. I again tried working on higher-level again since that time I really wanted to improve my communication towards other people that I know and didn't know. I think that I have participated really well, and cooperate with them. Today's activity was the most fun thing we have done, in Health.

Mini Open Top Pastry Savouries

Home Economics. Last week we made Mini Open Top Pastry, and that time we all had a difficult time doing some of the jobs. Since there's one person that has joined our team, and for me, it makes it harder since it wasn't easy to communicate at all. That time, we all didn't finish on time since there's a lot of things you need to do first. But I have enjoyed making this even though, it was awkward talking with different people. To make this you only need 4 things.

When I and my group were making this, we kind of had a very hard time sorting out which person doing that job, etc. Luckily after some discussion and some agreements with each other, we finally started making it. After some time, one person in our group has to go and do some jobs like coaching so it was only the three of us that time Mrs asked me to bring some savouries for her to taste. While things are coming together, I already knew that it will taste good. The fillings have good combinations with each other since there's an egg and bacon, and some corn and etc. When we only have 5 minutes left we were worried because our savouries are not cooked yet, since there' some problem when we put them in the oven. This is kinda disappointing, but we still managed to cook it properly even though we're late for our lunchtime. When I took my first bite, it tastes really good, the side is really crunchy, and the inside is soft it's like a muffin but doesn't have a similar taste only the textures. And the colours fit really well together. Also, I let some of my friends eat it, and they really like it which I pretty pleased with. I would love to do this again, and I would try to finish it on time. I had fun cooking it with my group, even though we didn't communicate with each other.

Fritters

Home Economics. Last week we made Corn and Bacon frittters, and I and my group actually enjoyed making it because we all communicate with each other which made things more easier for us to do some jobs without hesitation or being irritated. For this practical, you just need 10 ingredients and of course, you need the right one. It only takes us about 50 minutes even though one of my group need to go because she needed to do something, so it was only two of us.

When we were doing this we didn't have a hard time making it, because the method was really easy to follow also we're kind of lucky because one of our team is still there and she can still help us to get things ready. For me when we were cooking it my first impression was it will not taste good, because of the fact that I think there's a lot of corn in it. So when we are doing this and one of my teammates takes turns cooking it because we wanted to be fair with each other. So when  I took my first bite, I actually like it because it was crispy and the inside is really soft and it was great, and it tastes better when dipping it on a sauce. The combination of corn and bacon is also good, and for me, it will be a great dinner or dessert for other people. I think we did a great job because we put all the right amount of ingredients, like the milk or the flour. I really enjoyed making this, and I would probably try this again.

Black Death Timeline

In our chaos class, we are presently taking a gander at our last theme which is pestilence dark demise. This is about the things that occur in the century, around the world. There's a lot of things that occurred in the previous existence, where individuals used to experience the ill effects of some terrible disease, and simply bite the dust. In this meeting, we need to make a course of events where it incorporates a portion of the dark demise history. That timetable included 30 things that occurred during that time as it proceeds, it begins when the Christians educating and torturous killing and finished with the Covid-19.

31 - 33 A. D ( Anno Domini ) According to the new exploration, between the date of Jesus, keep going Passover on the on hands of John's date of the ensuing. Wednesday, 1 April AD 33 Jesus last dinner to have it on that day, and the execution on the Friday 3 April AD 33 and the Resurrection.

43 - The Roman victory of Britain was sluggish cooperation, beginning in AD 43 under Emperor Claudius and being generally wrapped up by 87 when the Stanegate was set up as the northern edges. The Roman outfitted power was generally taken a crack at Italia, Hispania, and Gaul.

570 - The prophet Muhammad, every so often spelled Mohammed or Mohammad, was brought into the world in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, in 570 A.D. Muslims acknowledge he was the last prophet sent by God to uncover their certainty to mankind.

1209 - Franciscan Order. Exacting solicitation set up in 1209 by St Francis of Assisi. In its more broad sense the name fuses two distinct affiliations that he set up: the Order of Poor Clares and the Tertiaries (set up 1221), lay kin who were collaborated to the Franciscans anyway, for the most part, lived on earth.

1212 - The Children's Crusade was a bombarded acclaimed crusade by European Christians to develop the second Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem in the Holy Land, said to have happened in 1212. The crusaders left regions of Northern France, driven by Stephen of Cloyes, and Germany, driven by Nicholas.

1215-The Magna Carta ("Great Charter") is a record guaranteeing English political opportunities that were drafted at Runnymede, a glade by the River Thames, and embraced by King John on June 15, 1215, under pressure from his defiant blue-bloods.

1271 - Marco Polo (1254-1324) was a Venetian seller acknowledged to have traversed Asia at the height of the Mongol Empire. ... Subsequent to showing up in China, Marco Polo entered the court of inconceivable Mongol ruler Kublai Khan, who dispatched him on trips to help direct the area

The 1337-By show, the Hundred Years' War is said to have started on May 24, 1337, with the capture of the English-held duchy of Guyenne by French King Philip VI. This seizure, in any case, had been gone before by irregular fighting about the subject of English fiefs in France getting back to the twelfth century..

1347-The Black Death was a plague pandemic which squashed Europe from 1347 to 1352 CE, executing a normal 25-30 million people. The disease, achieved by a bacillus tiny organic entities and passed on by bugs on rodents, started in central Asia and was taken starting there to the Crimea by Mongol warriors and vendors

1350 - finally, in 1350 CE a 'unbelievable fleet' of seven kayaks – Aotea, Kurahaupō, Mataatua, Tainui, Tokomaru, Te Arawa and Tākitimu – all pulled out from the Tahitian district all the while, bringing people right now known as Māori to New Zealand. These were advanced, warlike, plant tribes who demolished the Moriori

1431 - according to history subject matter experts, Joan of Arc was 19 when she was seared at the stake in Rouen by the English on 30 May, 1431. She passed on of smoke internal breath. The Cardinal of Winchester is recorded as having mentioned her to be scorched a resulting time.

1492 - On August 3, 1492, Columbus set sail from Palos, Spain, with three little ships, the Santa Maria, the Pinta and the Nina. On October 12, the mission showed up at land, likely Watling Island in the Bahamas..

1588-In 1588, King Philip II of Spain sent a team (a naval force of boats) to assemble his military from the Netherlands, where they were doing combating, and take them to assault England. ... Regardless, a critical inspiration driving why the English had the choice to pulverize the Armada was that the breeze blew the Spanish ships northwards.

1605 - The Gunpowder Plot was a bombarded try to detonate England's King James I (1566-1625) and the Parliament on November 5, 1605. ... Around 12 PM on November 4, 1605, one of the deceivers, Guy Fawkes (1570-1606), was found in the storm cellar of the Parliament working with barrels of dangerous

1655-Extraordinary Plague of London, the scourge of plague that devastated London, England, from 1665 to 1666. City records show that precisely 68,596 people passed on during the scourge, anyway the real number of passings is related to have outperformed 100,000 out with an outright people evaluated at 460,000.

1769 - The English guide Captain James Cook found New Zealand on 6 October 1769, and showed up at Poverty Bay two days sometime later. He drew organized and careful aides of the country and clarified the Māori public. ... In any case, after this Cook and his men had all around arranged contact with Māori

1815-The Battle of Waterloo, which happened in Belgium on June 18, 1815, signified the last loss of Napoleon Bonaparte, who vanquished a considerable amount of Europe during the nineteenth century. Napoleon rose through the places of the French-equipped power during the French Revolution, clutched control of the French government in 1799, and got sovereign in 1804. Through a movement of wars, he broadened his domain across western and central Europe. The Battle of Waterloo, where Napoleon's forces were squashed by the British and Prussians, indicated the completion of his reign and of France's authority in Europe.

1840-The Treaty of Waitangi was a made arrangement made in 1840 between the British Crown (the ruler) and in excess of 500 Māori supervisors. Beginning there forward, New Zealand changed into a region of Britain and Māori became British subjects. In any case, Māori and Europeans had various understandings and notions for the treaty. The game-plan was drafted in English and sometime later changed over into Māori by serving Henry Williams and his youth Edward. It was familiar with around 500 Māori at Waitangi on 5 February 1840 and there was a huge load of discussion. The following day, 6 February, in excess of 40 administrators indicated the game plan. Duplicates of the game plan were taken around the country, and significantly more chiefs stepped. Most meant a Māori-language variety. soil.

1861-65-The Civil War in the United States began in 1861, following a long time of stewing strains among northern and southern states over coercion, states' advantages, and toward the western expansion. The arrangement of Abraham Lincoln in 1860 caused seven southern states to pull out and structure the Confederate States of America; four extra states in a little while obliged them. The War Between the States, as the Civil War was similarly known, completed in Confederate quiet submission in 1865. The dispute was the costliest and deadliest struggle anytime fought on American soil, with someplace in the scope of 620,000 of 2.4 million troopers killed, millions more hurt and a critical piece of the South left in ruin.

1869 - On November 17, 1869, the Suez Canal was opened to course. Ferdinand de Lesseps would later be undertaking, inadequately, to build a channel across the Isthmus of Panama. Right, when it opened, the Suez Canal was only 25 feet down, 72 feet wide at the base, and 200 to 300 feet wide at the surface.

1918 during the 21st century, apprehension over the hazard of Influenza A contamination subtypes H5N1 (avian flu) and H1N1 (pig flu), and the COVID-19 Covid has revived interest in New Zealand's most perceptibly horrendous sickness scene, the dangerous influenza pandemic that struck among October and December 1918. In two months New Zealand lost about half anyway numerous people to influenza as it had in the whole of the First World War. No other event has killed such endless New Zealanders in a short period of time.

1914-18-The World War 1, in any case, called the Great War, beginning in 1914 after the demise of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria. His manslaughter threw into a contention across Europe that went on until 1918. During the dispute, Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria, and the Ottoman Empire (the Central Powers) fought against Great Britain, France, Russia, Italy, Romania, Japan, and the United States (the Allied Powers). In view of new military advancements and the aversions of tight situation struggle, World War I saw striking levels of butcher and destruction. At the point when the contention was done and the Allied Powers ensured win, more than 16 million people—troopers and customary individuals the equivalent—were dead.

1925-In 1925 there was an immature loss of movement (polio) plague the country over. This inferred that no youths were allowed to go to schools or without a doubt some different spots, for instance, pools or movies where children may somehow assemble.

1939 - 45 - The insecurity made in Europe by the First World War (1914-18) set up for another overall battle—World War II—which broke out twenty years sometime later and would exhibit impressively truly obliterating. Rising to control in a monetarily and politically unreliable Germany, Adolf Hitler, top of the Nazi Party, rearmed the country and checked crucial settlements with Italy and Japan to extra his desires of worldwide control. Hitler's assault of Poland in September 1939 drove Great Britain and France to articulate a fight on Germany, indicating the beginning of World War II. Throughout the span of the accompanying six years, the conflict would take more lives and demolish more land and property all through the planet than any past war.

VISME TIMELINE

Those are the things that occurred as the years progressed, and it made them stun the reality about the christian's and different pandemics that likewise occur before. So as you can see that is every one of the things I have remembered for timetable, it's simply a short concise of what is the issue here. In my contemplation about doing this movement is that it was truly fun, and I had a ton of times doing this. The way that I took in a ton about things that occurred in the decade's. So I likewise trust that you will appreciate this blog entry that, and my course of events about the pandemics dark passing history...

Fun approaches to investigate language, that is the thing that we have done in ESOL. Our ESOL class exercises are fun since we will be in a gathering and have some action with them.

3 Recalls -

I remember doing the activity we have done last week when we get to be in a group and do some guessing about the title of the book. As each of the two groups needed to have a runner, where it has to run across the room and write the answer down the board. It was so fun, and I wanted to do it again.

Secondly from this lesson, I remember we did play hot potato where a group of students each has a sheet of paper, on which they write one work and pass it clockwise around the circle for the next student to write one word on. We have to keep passing the pages around rapidly like hot potatoes, and we have to form a story at the end. Re-read the stories, and correct the grammar for the story to make more sense.

Lastly, the last activity we did is called Alphabet story, where you have to write a story in which each successive word begins with the next alphabet word. This one is probably the hardest one since the story still has to make sense, but it was still fun.

Insights -

I learned that it was harder to think when you are using each of the alphabet letters because you have to come up with something that makes sense with the word before.

Water boats

The start of week 1, Term 2. Our first-class was Science and it was really exciting because the first thing we did, was to do an experiment that includes water, and fire. It was really fun, and we did was to be in a pairs, and try to come up with a piece of a container that would water. Then the twist is that it would be able to hold some water, and not catch on fire.

Aim: Trying to investigate a design of a container that would hold water, that won't catch on fire.

Method: A piece of paper, Bunsen burner, Tripod, a heat mat, Beaker

- First, we have to create a paper container, that would hold the water. Then get all of the safety things, and get the equipment.

- Second step, we have to set up all the things like turn on the Bunsen burner and connect to the gas tap, while it was connect turn it on and the teacher will come with a lighter, and he will light it for you. Then you're ready to go.

-Third step, is we have to wait till it was fully burned or until the water fell out.

Results:  Evelyn and I, was actually really scared to put the paper into the top because we thought that it's going to be a fail experiment since some group their one only lasted for a second. Shockingly our one lasted for 5 minutes, well our idea was to create a box but make sure that the bottom has a layer. It also can hold a lot of water, I was really proud because of our design work and we are the only group that lasted for that long.

Samoan Language Week

Talofa, today we are celebrating Samoan Language since we have Wananga for the first two periods we get to choose an activity and search some common language phrases and create any type of presentation, and share it with everyone. Samoan, is a communal way of life that was based on Fa'a Samoa, it was a unique socio-political culture.Samoan culture, some of their most activities are done together. Elders in the family are greatly respected and hold the highest status. Also Samoan is knows for other things.

Today I have created some facts like their traditional clothing, games, weddings and more. I'm happy that I have learnt a lot of things about them. Some common Samoan language.

Shark Infested Custard Game

The health class did another, activity that was based on IP skills. This time was actually the same as the previous activities, and I was with different people and we are in a group of 6. In that team, I was honoured to be their leader. Well the class will be divided into 3 even groups.

Each group will be given 3 hula hoops, and head out to the basketball court near M8.

The goal is to get the whole team from one side of the court to the other, using only the hoops.

Rules: you can only stand on the hoop when it is completely flat on the ground. You cannot shuffle the hoop along the floor. Any part of any team member comes out of the hoop and the whole group goes back to the start. It is a challenge against the other teams.

You get 3 minutes at the start to work out your strategy.

What IP skills did I use?
The IP skills we used today was being inclusive, verbal communication and lastly the most important one is active listening . My team and I used active listening because, this sorts of activity is kind of dangerous since today was a rainy day and everything is wet and slippery. So we all need to be careful and listen to each other, so that no one will get hurt and we are all safe. I was again satisfied about my team, since all of them listen to the instruction carefully. Then secondly verbal communication, well all of us need to use our proper tone of voice. We have to use positive words, and encourage them to keep going. Lastly probably the second important thing was being inclusive to everyone, we have to help each other and include everyone so that no is left out. Also in this activity, I again used warm fuzzies even though my team and I came in second place. The purpose of this game was to help and communicate well with different people.

Why did it helped?
Using this IP skills helped my team, to do more better and it also made it easier for us to came up for some different plans. If we didn't helped each other then we wouldn't be able to finish the activity, like for verbal and active listening well for that I think that we did use that IP skill very well because all of us used an appropriate words, and we all listen and stick to one idea. For being inclusive, if we didn't use that then someone in the group will feel left out and might not participate and that will made things more harder for us. Because when we are in the middle of the game and one person plan on not doing it, then we will have to go back from the start.

Who did I worked well with?
I worked well with Evelyn, Misha, Joseph, Eliakim and Miguel. They made things easier since they are easy to communicate with , and so that we wouldn't have to feel uncomfortable with each other. When we were at the middle of the game, one person slipped since there's s big distance between the hoops and luckily she didn't hurt herself. After that we all plan to just throw the hoop were we can easily jump on, since not all of us are a good jumper so we all have to be careful because we might hurt our teammates or ourselves. Even though we had a little bit of a problem, we still managed to finish the activity without people getting hurt or injured really badly since some people were mucking around.

How would you do it differently?
For my point of view, I wouldn't change anything since we all can managed ourselves and I believe that we wouldn't do anything silly with other people. The matter fact, I know one thing that we all need to do differently is that maybe to change our strategy. Well our strategy was to let the short one go first, and then the person who has fast reflection can take care of the back. I mean we actually did got stuck when one person throws the hoop far and none of us can jump properly because there's three people on each hoops.Probably we were scared that we might slip, or might hit, etc. So that's when things happened. We all need to be sensible and look after one another, and be respectful of someones opinion or point of view. Furthermore, I think we all did great when it comes to communicating and encouraging each other to not be scared.

What level of Helisons behaviour model were you working at in this activity and provide examples of this

Well I worked at level four, and one example is when I respect their ideas since I was chosen to be their leader. Listen to their opinion and different strategy, and give some thoughtful feedback. Also I think my group and myself demonstrate fair play for others, and I truly believe that we showed a good teamwork. I tried working on higher level again since , that time I really wanted to improve my communication towards other people that I know and didn't know. I think that I have participated really well, and cooperate with them. Today's activity was one of my favourite, since we get to pick who should be on our team .

Things that worked well :
- working together
- useful to have a leader
- strategy time useful
- easier to move with fewer people
- try to have fun
- communicating with each other
- following a pattern of hoop entry
- being fair team players
- rule changes to make it better next time
- supporting each other-helping hand
- hoop distances kept close

Rubber Band Cup Tower

In health, we did another activity based on our Interpersonal Skills. It was the same as the last time, but this time we were group with different people. There were 4 people in my group, and I admit grouping with different people who I usually don't talk with is kinda uncomfortable. So in this activity each group will get 1 elastic band and string/a piece of string (30cm), and 5 plastic cup. Our goal was to attach the string to the elastic band, and each group member pulls on the string to move each cup from one table to another. Challenge each other group to do it as fast as possible. At first I was actually kinda confused of what to do, but then when I saw some pictures in google I already got the idea of what we are suppose to do. After that I went to my group, and we all practise. Communicating with other people was actually fun.

What IP skills did I use?

The IP skills I used was being conclusive, negotiation and compromise, and active listening. I used being conclusive because we all need to participate and help each other, and we also need to make sure that no one is left out we all need to something. Also putting my self on the spot were I also need to make sure, that I'm being included. For active listening, well we all need to listen to each other opinion and pay more attention to the person who is talking. Lastly I picked negotiation and compromise because they mean when people in your group, need to find a reasonable solution to share with each other and compromising is when the two people are negotiating. I did use warm fuzzies, because I encourage my team that we can do it. Even though we lose, at least we all tried.

Why did it helped?

Using those IP skills helped ,because it makes it more easier for us to communicate with each other. If we didn't help or even talk to each other. Then we wouldn't be able to finish the task, luckily the people in my group really did try there very best to win. It also helped us because if we didn't use active listening, then probably the person who is talking will feel uncomfortable and irritated since no one listening. I'm happy that when one person in our group says something we all listen.

Who did I worked well with?

They're Mattisin, Daniel, and Jackson. An example of when we worked well together was, when we were practising and trying to do find a strategy that will work well.I was lucky enough to be in that group because they were all nice, and they also look one another even though one person in my group were misbehaving. But we know that the more we hype him up, the more it will get worse so we just asked that person nicely to stop and focus. The after all he listen.

How would you do it differently?

Well when we were doing the challenge one of person didn't do it, and participate but he practised which is good. The fact that when we finished the challenge, our teacher said that we get -1 in our time since there's only 3 people who did it when it was supposed to be 4. Furthermore, I was happy and proud about our time even though it was only the three of us, and we even had a problem with our string and rubber band. I think we stretch it way too hard, so when we were doing the challenge we have to re-do it again and asked for someone else one.

What level of Helisons behaviour model were you working at in this activity and provide examples of this

Well I worked at level four, and one example is when I respect their ideas. Listen to their opinion, also I think my group and myself demonstrate fair play for others, and a good teamwork. I tried working on higher level since, that time I really wanted to improve my communication towards other people. I think that I have participated really well, and cooperate with them which made me think that I have achieved my goal.
